Trip To Bukit Jalil Park

For this assignment we’re meant to create a new site at the location called Bukit Jalil Park that will benefit it. Before we created the site, we went on a trip to the actual site itself. Although we were there to analyse, I enjoyed my time with my classmates as we walked around the park and admired the vast amount of trees there was.

Despite how big the park is, there’s a lack of visitors. Those who were there were mostly the elderly with a few exceptions for families and joggers. From this, I could tell that it wasn’t an attraction for young people, which was what I hope I could attract with my new site.

I was contemplating between an existing open air theatre (that didn’t really look like one) or an empty land near the lake.

I decided to work on the open air theatre to create and amphitheatre that is improved with better seats, space and just an overall stylish feel. I think that the use of the existing space is a good idea, however because it is not maintained properly it drives people away. With the right design and right services, I’m certain that it will attract people of all ages.
